Who we are

Budapest Airport Guide is an independent information portal about Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD). It is published by Global Online Travel, registered at 127 area, 11/11 Argishti street, Kentron 0015, Yerevan, Armenia.

We are not the airport. We do not act for the airport, we cannot change your booking or trace your suitcase, and no airline, car park, taxi firm or transfer company has any say over what a page here says about it. What we do is one narrow thing: work out what a traveller actually needs to know to get through BUD without a surprise, and write it down accurately.

What this site covers

How we work

Every figure on this site comes from the organisation that sets it — the airport operator, BKK, MÁV, the tax authority, or the EU regulation itself — and never from another travel site. Each page ends with a Sources block naming the exact pages we checked, so you can verify any number yourself instead of taking our word for it. Every page also shows when it was last updated, and that date is generated from the record of the edit, not typed in by hand.

This matters more at an airport than almost anywhere else, because the numbers move without warning. Budapest Airport replaced its entire parking tariff on 28 April 2026. The Budapest taxi tariff rose on 1 August 2026 and gained an 800 HUF airport surcharge. The BKK single ticket went from 450 to 500 HUF. Each change quietly turned pages that had been correct the week before into misinformation — which is why we re-check against the source rather than assume.

The full method, including how corrections are handled and how our advertising works, is set out in our editorial policy.

Languages

The site is published in 16 languages. English is the source language: a fact is established and checked in English first, and the other versions are derived from it. When a figure changes, the English page and its translations are corrected together.

Corrections and contact

If something here is wrong, we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing. Tell us which page and which number through our contact page, and we will fix it on the page itself.

For official airport business

For anything operational — lost property, a delayed bag, a changed flight, security questions — contact the airport or your airline directly. Budapest Airport publishes its own channels on the official airport website, and the airport authority can be reached at [email protected]. We have no access to any of those systems.
